It feels like only yesterday you were learning to walk, talk, ride a bike, and now you are a young man!
You woke up this morning excited - you have been looking forward to this birthday for months. You had a great year - much more growing - you’re now about 5’9”, and you had a great year at school! Your math marks were wonderful - a new teacher and a new class really helped (thank you Westmount High), and your other class (all but one) were showing amazing improvement. I am so proud of the work that you have put in.
Your interests continue to be around Japanese Power Rangers and building creatures out of Lego, plus a lot of YouTube and old tv series. In so many ways I think that you are a throwback to another time (with some modern improvements) - I think that you have always had that innately - old fashioned manners, a happy innocence and love of a “simpler” age. On our trip to Scotland this year you were in love with the landscapes and natural world, the water and the green hills. You have always felt more at peace amongst the trees :-)
I’m excited to see what the next year has in store for you - more learning, discovering, growing, changing. Your heart is still so full and connected to the world my sweet boy, so much that you see the rest of the world will never experience. I am so happy to be part of your world and to have you share your insights with me. I learn something new every day. Thank you for making me a better person, sometimes I forget how much you give me.
I love you so very much my boo.
Always my heart,
